The world’s largest martial arts organization will return with its first event of 2025 when ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev airs live on January 11 from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the headline attraction, ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Tang Kai defends his belt for the second time against #5-ranked divisional contender Akbar Abdullaev.
Tang, China’s first male MMA World Champion, has remained undefeated in ONE Championship, scoring eight victories against the division’s toughest fighters. Now he’s looking to continue his reign of terror against a man who many believe will be the most dangerous opponent he has ever faced.
Abdullaev boasts a professional MMA record of 11-0 with a 100 percent finishing rate. The Kyrgyzstan warrior’s sole purpose since joining ONE has been to capture 26 pounds of gold. So far he’s right on schedule, blazing through three fearless featherweights en route to his shot at greatness. More bouts will be announced in the weeks to come.
